This week we have a great sale in Richardson with assorted antiques and lots of interesting vintage items.  To assist the home-owner with general security, we’ll post the address on our website and other internet listings Thursday morning.  This three-bedroom home features a house filled with interesting antiques and traditional items.  Please see the room-by-room summaries below for detailed information about items in this sale.  There are many well-known brand name items.  Some items are new, and many are in “like new” condition.  There are plenty of antiques and interesting collectables to see, so we encourage you to come early for the best selection.  We distribute sequential numbers each morning to customers waiting to enter, thereby enabling those who arrive early to wait in comfort in their vehicle.  Our customers have told us they appreciate our use of “tear tags” for larger items.  If you tell us you are interested in purchasing one of these items, your first name is written on the back of the tag that is brought up to the check-out area.  That way, we can presume that all items without tags already have a buyer on site.  When the buyer pays for the item at check-out, a member of our team retrieves the item or places a “sold” tag on the item for later pick-up by the buyer.  We assist our customers with removing large items from the house to encourage efficient and safe removal of all items.

Entry / Living Room / Everett Baby Grand Piano / Checkout Area – features a Red Satin Glass “Gone with the Wind” lamp (re-wired, bottom globe serves as a night light).  This double globe lamp came from southeastern antiques and has 307 gold in the brass.  We have a double wick Cranberry lamp with its globe and brass ornate stand that also has 307 gold in the brass.  The great wood entry console table has awesome carved legs and bottom with curved in and out table top.  On it is staged two (2) ebony carved busts (one male and one female) busts.  These are awesome finds.  We also have a great Aqua Blue / Turquoise Lamp with Beaded shade and double pull-chain sockets.  This lamp also has a black metal bottom and has been re-wired.  This lamp is a real find not only because of the color but the style as well.  The checkout table is full of more real finds.  We have vintage designer costume jewelry, lots of smalls including kewpie dolls, sterling silver pieces, one coin, lend and pencils, Hummel’s, vintage jewelry with polished stones and sterling silver jewelry (some turquoise & amber) and much more.  There are even vintage watches that work (with bands).  There is a West Point cadet’s full dress gray coat with the brass buttons and tar bucket cap along with the lint brush and storage bag. We have a U.S. Air Force officer’s dress hat.  We also have an awesome Battenberg lace oval table cloth with napkins.  The Everett Baby Grand Piano is from about 1920 and is in great condition for its age.  It’s the smallest of the baby grands and has awesome curved legs with lots of details in the wood.  This piano still sounds great for its age and it needs a loving home for someone who appreciates a piano that was very top of the line when it was made.  A little history about the Everett Baby Grand Piano:  Everett was regarded as a topnotch, high quality piano chosen by leading pianists and accompanists of their era. Teresa Carreno, a renowned pianist; Walter Damrosch, long-time conductor of the New York symphony and premiere radio conductor; Cecile Chaminade, worldclass French composer; the pianists Alfred Reisenauer and John Philip Sousa are but few of the dozens of great artists who displayed their prowess with Everett grands. Be it on the concert stage or a private show for friends and family, Everett has been a staple in the world of music.
